Experience: • 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months. • 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years. • 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred. • 6 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required within the last 3 years. Additional Details: Required Skills/Experience: - Must be comfortable with acute MedSurg care (IV therapy, wounds, etc.). - Patient population is 90% neuro in a low stimulation area, including TBI, brain tumor resection, CVA, lung transplant, and liver transplant. Interdisciplinary team rounds. Average LOS 19-21 days. Patients typically receive therapy 5 of 7 days for 3 hours per day. Preferred Skills/Experience: - Rehab experience preferred. Required Credentials: - References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. - RN jobs in the following units: Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, ED/ER, Endoscopy, any ICU/critical care, IR, LTAC ICU, Med-Surg/Tele, Tele, PACU, Stepdown/PCU are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Special Requests: - Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. - Travel teams must have their own vehicles. Shift & Scheduling: - Weekend requirement: 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks. Holidays based on unit coverage. Floating Requirements: - ER float positions will require floating between different ER satellite locations in the area. A home base facility will try to be established, however this may not be the facility the clinician is regularly at. A schedule will be made in advance, so clinicians is aware of what location they’ll be reporting to. - Floating to any MedSurg unit.
