DescriptionAssociate Chief Quality Officer - Parkview Medical CenterPosition SummaryThe Associate Chief Quality Officer (ACQO) provides physician leadership and operational oversight for quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives at Parkview Medical Center. Reporting to and partnering closely with the Chief Medical Officer, the ACQO works collaboratively with executive leadership, medical staff leadership, and clinical teams to advance high-reliability practices, strengthen patient safety outcomes, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. This role serves as a key physician champion for quality improvement and medical safety across the organization. This position does not offer a hybrid or remote option. Key ResponsibilitiesDirects and supports quality initiatives in partnership with medical staff and executive leadership to ensure alignment with organizational priorities, clinical excellence goals, and regulatory requirements.Collaborates with the Chief Medical Officer to direct the medical safety program and coordinate cross-functional participation from Infection Control, Epidemiology, Safety, Occupational Health Services, Risk Management, Quality Improvement Services, and other related departments.Provides leadership oversight of performance improvement activities related to quality initiatives, including developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures focused on quality improvement and medical safety.Leads and supports efforts associated with sentinel events, including reporting, analysis, follow-up, and serving as a physician champion for performance improvement initiatives.Evaluates clinical and operational services impacted by quality, safety, or regulatory issues; identifies improvement opportunities; develops evidence-based recommendations; and monitors implementation to ensure sustained results.Serves as a clinical and operational resource for performance improvement, medical safety, and regulatory matters throughout the organization.Actively participates in accreditation preparedness and surveys, clinical guideline development, and regulatory activities.Provides physician input into major capital expenditures related to quality and patient safety initiatives and supports integrating quality considerations into strategic and operational decision-making.Qualifications and RequirementsMinimum Required Education:Graduate of an accredited medical school.Licensure and Certification:Unrestricted Colorado Board of Medical Examiners physician license. Unrestricted DEA registration to prescribe medications commonly used in clinical practice. Board certification in a recognized clinical specialty. Appropriate credentialing through Medical Staff Services. Active medical staff membership at a system hospital or affiliated medical staff with appropriate CORE practice privileges.Experience:Minimum of three (3) years of relevant clinical, quality, patient safety, or performance improvement leadership experience.Pay: $300,892 - $451,339 annual base pay.
