We’re looking to you to make sure our rides are good to go! You’ll provide the knowledge, experience, and expertise necessary to ensure our attractions and facility plumbing runs, flows and drains smoothly. You will:Conduct daily ride inspectionsPerform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicesProvide support in troubleshooting problems with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipmentProvide excellent service to guests and team membersConsistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situationsMaintain, repair, replace, and/or install plumbing, piping, and plumbing fixtures related to city and non-potable water and sewage throughout the parkBe responsible for the interior and exterior of park, as well as main sewer lines, building sewer lines, drains and clean-outs, grease traps/pits, manholes and lift stationsTroubleshoot malfunctions and solve most problems with minimum supervisionAdhere to safety and handling procedures as well as state and federal regulationsPerform tasks assigned within time constraints implied by park operational guidelines; organize and plan daily workloadMaintain cleanliness in the plumbing shop, pumphouses, and storage areasWork on plumbing at our attractions to keep them in top working condition, to include ride motor piping and filtration and chemical dosing systemsWhat it takes to succeed:Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver’s license and ability to obtain a park driver’s licenseObtain and maintain a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification within a year from hire date.Ability to pass all ride competency tests and obtain certificationMust be able to frequently lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 poundsExcellent communication skills and basic math abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods of time in extreme weatherFlexibility in working varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidaysAt least three years of plumbing training or equivalent experienceAbility to read and work from blueprints and/or drawingsKnowledge of Sloan and Zurn flush-o-meters, Chicago and Zurn faucets and other brandsKnowledge of main and secondary supply/shutoff valves for city and non-potable waterAbility to properly use appropriate hand and power tools (i.e., Spartan drain and sewer snake, the Mustang jetter, etc.)Installation skills with PVC piping and galvanized pipeExperience working with chemical and hazardous wastesExcellent communication and math skillslift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistancePlumbing license a plusThe perks of the position:Paid Time OffComplimentary Park Tickets and PassesPark Discounts on Food and MerchandiseMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401K Retirement planVoluntary InsuranceLife InsuranceDisability BenefitsTuition ReimbursementDependent and Health Care Flexible Spending AccountsEmployee Assistance ProgramLegal Assistance PlanEEO Employer:SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
