Job InfoJob Location: Chicago, IllinoisRoute Type: LocalType of Assignment: Direct HireTransmission Type: AutomaticJob RequirementsExperience: 2+ yearsHandling: Light TouchAdditional InformationLocal, Home Daily CDL A Driver – $27/hr. + OT + Bonuses + Union Benefits Location: Chicago, IL Position Type: Full-Time Pay: $27.00/hour (Overtime after 40 hours) Open Positions: Multiple Key Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles Transport and deliver goods efficiently while following all DOT regulations Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and procedures Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance Maintain accurate logs for driving hours, inspections, and deliveries Follow assigned routes and schedules while adapting to changing conditions Communicate with Dispatch regarding schedules, delays, or issues Process returns and relay customer feedback or product concerns Assist in training new drivers as needed Schedule & Routes Local routes – Home daily Work Week: 6 days per week Shift Times: Start times range from 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM Shift Structure: Routes and shift blocks are bid every 90 days based on union seniority Hours: Typically 8–12 hours per shift Requirements Valid CDL-A license Minimum 2 years of CDL-A driving experience Clean MVR (no violations in the past 5 years) Ability to work a 6-day schedule with flexible hours Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to safety protocols at all times Must pass background check and drug screening Benefits & Perks Union position (membership required after 60 days) Pension plan Health, dental, and vision insurance Prescription drug coverage Life, AD&D, and disability insurance Employee assistance program Paid time off Referral program Weekly & monthly attendance bonuses Why Join Us?
