The position requires evaluating maintenance and repair techniques for Integrated Maintenance Program (IMP) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs, while recognizing and handling operational and personnel issues quickly and efficiently. The supervisor works in partnership with managers to maintain effective relationships with government partners and customers.Your day-to-day tasks will include:Identifying repairs exceeding 32 man-hours and limits of liabilityAssigning and monitoring activities of subordinates, establishing and adjusting work methods and procedures to meet schedulesDeveloping, reviewing, and updating written maintenance instructions and schedulesPerforming Quality Control inspections on work in progress and completed work to ensure contractual complianceAuthorizing purchase of materials and monitoring work activities and expenditures to control costsCoordinating subcontract work with all appropriate parties, including the Subcontracts ManagerAnswering job-related technical inquiries from customers and preparing proposed work with design specifications for planned jobs or contractsPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort is requiredFrequently required to sit, stand, and walkMust be able to ascend and descend ladders of various heights to view work in progress, perform investigations, or gain information for estimating purposesDriving to various job sites is requiredWork is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled officeField visits required both indoors and outdoors in all climates, including outside and on top of facilities, often exposed to hot sun or cold windy conditionsWork involves risks and observance of safety precautions typical of this position with assigned PPESome after-hours duty required and may be called in to work after-hour emergency situationsRequired Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalentTen to fifteen (10-15) years practical experience in facilities operations including specialized fields such as Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Masonry, Mechanical, or StructuralMinimum three (3) years supervisory and/or work leader experienceExcellent leadership, written, oral, and email communication skillsIntermediate level experience with Microsoft Excel and Word software programsPreferred Qualifications:Estimating experienceMaximo software knowledgeQuality Control experienceExperience with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical identificationKnowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) complianceFamiliarity with OSHA safety regulations and proper codes and standardsExperience initiating measures to improve methods, equipment performance, and quality of workThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
