CAD Operator - JLLWhat this job involves - Creating and modifying technical drawings using AutoCAD software based on specifications from architects, engineers, and designers. You'll be responsible for producing accurate, detailed architectural and PID drawings that comply with industry standards and project requirements while maintaining drawing databases and ensuring version control.What your day-to-day will look like:Converting rough sketches, markups, and instructions into detailed CAD drawingsMaking revisions to existing drawings based on feedback from project teamsCreating as-built drawings from field measurements and observationsOrganizing and maintaining drawing files according to project standardsPreparing drawings for client presentations and construction documentationCollaborating with project managers, engineers, and field personnelPerforming quality checks on drawings before submissionSupporting the project team with technical documentation needsWorking with engineering firms to transfer drawings in house from large projectsBuild out/expand the drawing repository including sourcing legacy drawings from in house and external partiesRequired Qualifications:Associate's degree in drafting, design technology, or equivalent experienceProficiency in AutoCAD, 3D CAD or comparable CAD softwareUnderstanding of drafting symbols and conventionsAbility to accurately measure and scale drawingsStrong organizational skills and file management practicesExcellent attention to detail and quality controlAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentBasic understanding of construction methods and materialsGood communication skills to coordinate with project teamsDesired Qualifications:2+ years of experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD softwareKnowledge of building information modeling (BIM) principlesFamiliarity with drafting standards and construction terminologyUnderstanding of architectural and engineering conceptsAbility to read and interpret architectural drawingsStrong spatial reasoning and attention to detailUnderstanding of GMP and non-GMP drawingsLocation: Bloomington, INWork Schedule: Monday through Friday, daysThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
