The Clinical Instructor will teach in the undergraduate program in Manhattan, NY at a clinical site with 8-9 students with an emphasis on the care of a patient within the psychiatric/medical-surgical patient population. Clinical instructors are expected to be available for all clinical assignments once scheduled, beginning in January 2021 through June 2021. Clinicals can be held in any of the five boroughs.Complete facility orientation prior to the start of clinicalCreate patient assignments prior to the start of the clinical daySupervise students in all aspects of care of patients/clientsReview and provide feedback for all written clinical assignmentsSubmit grades for assignments as directed by course coordinatorProvide weekly feedback to students in the clinical areaComplete midterm/final clinical evaluationsPlan instructional activities for pre/post conferencesCommunicate and issues at the clinical site with course coordinatorResponsible for all clinical hours assigned to the course.Assist in Proctoring exams if neededAttend faculty meetings once a semesterMasters Degree in Nursing from an accredited institutionValid NY State Professional RN licenseMedical/Surgical nursing background (3-5 years’ experience), including clinical supervision of studentsCurrent CPR for the Professional Rescuer or Health ProviderSelf-directed and organized
