Job Description

Job DescriptionResponsible for issuing new business quotations and proposals for our National prospects. Including administrative fees, stop loss, RFP questionnaire responses and follow-up questions. Provide guidance and consultation to our internal Sales and Client Management teams on pricing strategies and exception- based pricing. Prepares and issues quotations and other financial deliverables for prospective and existing business while meeting established departmental TAT goals Prepares financial projections on prospects utilizing an established financial model in Microsoft Excel. Works with leaders from key functional areas to understand potential impacts for custom requests. Manages and interprets operational data and applies to fee development and financial analysis. Presents to internal/external customers, constituents, and business partners Displays a clear understanding of the Meritain products and services along with strong business and systems knowledge Develops and participates in presentation and consultation to existing and prospective customers, business partners and internal business areas. Collaborates with leadership in Sales to determine the appropriate product mix to issue on proposals that target reducing total cost of care for the plan sponsor. Provide ongoing financial modeling and analysis to business partners. Independently assists sales and client management personnel in explaining rates/fees and communication of underwriting and stop loss policies. Establishes and maintains a positive and productive relationship with sales and client management in the National Account segment.Required Qualifications 2 Years Medical Underwriting experience including rating methodologies for fully insured and/or self-funded business Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional problem solving and decision making skills Demonstrated analytical skills Intermediate/Advanced ExcelCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
