Job DescriptionAs a Senior Linux Database Administration you will work with Linux, Microsoft SQL Server, db2, MarkLogic, DataStage and Tableau.Our team installs, configures and maintains the Database System software to support the needs of the business in providing excellent service to Meritain's customers and partners.Some of the main responsibilities of this position include:tSizing, resourcing and configuration of database servers to support customer requirements.tMaintaining data server software to meet compliance requirements and sustain current licensing needs. Maintain servers at most recent release level where possible.tAssisting in the design of servers to meet the requirements of the task or project.tAcquiring and maintaining software to monitor the performance and physical resources of data servers. tProviding 24/7 services to address issues uncovered through monitoring processes or as a result of stakeholder discovery.tAdvising and assisting in data modeling and database design when requested. Offer assistance in technical database implementation issues.tProviding and maintaining tools to monitor database activities and create alerting systems for events.tProviding guidance and assistance with performance issues related to database usage.tEncouraging standardization of usage and best practices and share best practices standards.tOverseeing the processing of valid backups and understand Disaster Recovery processes.tProviding access for users to data that is necessary or advantageous to their job with approved authority, using role-based authentication wherever possible.tProviding reporting for user privileges by database instance to support any auditing or inquiry.tProviding adequate safeguards for compliance, security and integrity.tTaking lead on projects/tasks.tProviding transfer of knowledge and skills to team members, application areas, and business customers.tReviewing current and future Database technology capabilities and suggests technology replacement as appropriate.tParticipating in data architecture requirements discussions and recommends usage of appropriate database and data management technology.Please note this position needs:-On-call support-Off-hour deploymentsPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 75,400Maximum: 158,300Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications-6+ years DBA experience.-4+ years experience Linux.-4+ years experience noSQL (MarkLogic, MongoDB).-2+ years experience with Splunk.-6+ years experience with backup and recovery experience.-6+ years experience performance tuning experience.-2+ years experience working within Citrix VM environment.Preferred Qualifications-SQL Server Versions 2012+ (2014, 2016, 2017, 2019); SSIS, SSRS, Always On, Replication.-Windows.-Redgate SQL Monitor.-Tableau.-DataStage.-Jazz: RTC.-db2.-github.-DevSecOps:Octopus/Team City.-Azure.-Putty.-DDBoost.-Security (TLS, certificates, encryption).EducationH.S Diploma with 2 years of experience for every year of college not completed - Required Bachelors degree preferredBusiness OverviewBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
