Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Maternal-Fetal Medicine HarlingenThe Driscoll Health System is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) clinic serving the Harlingen and Brownsville communities. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced physicians and a collaborative team supporting high-risk obstetric patients.Position Overview:This role is primarily clinic-based with a strong focus on telemedicine. The provider will work closely with the MFM physician and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to deliver care and education to high-risk OB patients, including those managing conditions such as diabetes during pregnancy. This position will require travel between clinic locations in McAllen, Harlingen, and Brownsville.Schedule:Monday Thursday: 8:00 am 5:00 pmFriday: Clinic ends by noon, typically finished by 2:00 pm depending on chartingNo call requiredKey Responsibilities:Provide care for high-risk obstetric patients in a clinic and telemedicine setting.Collaborate with physicians and APPs to manage patient care plans.Conduct patient education, particularly around diabetes management, including reviewing glucose logs and counseling on diet and lifestyle.Support and guide patients throughout their pregnancy with a high level of responsiveness and flexibility.Participate in both virtual and in-person visits as needed.Patient Volume:Approximately 20-30 patients per day.Majority of visits (approximately 90%) are conducted via telemedicine.Qualifications:Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.Experience in labor and delivery or women s health strongly preferred.Prior experience working with OB/GYN or high-risk obstetrics is a plus.Open to new graduates with significant labor and delivery nursing experience (5 10 years).Support & Team Structure:Join an established MFM program with experienced physicians and APPs.Collaborative support from additional NPs across the region.Strong team culture with a focus on patient-centered care and flexibility.About the Driscoll Health System:The Driscoll Health System is a regional leader in pediatric care, anchored by two free-standing children s hospitals and a broad network of specialty clinics serving families across South Texas.
