Opportunity Highlights Schedule: Thursday 5/14/2026 at 7AM to Thursday 5/21/2026 at 7AMJob Setting: Level 3 Trauma Certified facility, 162 beds, ER/Trauma and Inpatient Coverage, No outpatient ClinicTypes of Cases: General Surgery Call for ER/Trauma and Inpatient, 1-5 patient encounters per shift. Adult and Pediatric general surgery including trauma. Laparoscopic surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty). Chest wall/pleural procedures. GI endoscopy (upper, lower, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy). Chest tube insertion, central line insertion, PA catheter placement, vascular access devices. Pediatric procedures including intestinal/biliary atresias, abdominal wall defects, umbilical hernia, diaphragmatic hernia, imperforate anus, PDA ligation.Credentialing: Estimated 1 day. Emergency privileges are an option. Minimum Requirements Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board EligibleCertifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLSLicensure: Current New Mexico Medical License, New Mexico Controlled Substance License, and DEA.
