Public Infrastructure Technician II: * Two years of experience in construction and/or operation of construction-related equipment, or two years of experience that includes construction and/or maintenance of streets and/or drainage infrastructure, or two years of experience as a Public Infrastructure Technician I. Public Infrastructure Technician III: * Three years of experience in construction and maintenance that includes streets and/or drainage infrastructure and operation of related equipment, or three years as a Public Infrastructure Technician II. Necessary Special Requirements Applies to all levels: * Must register with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse. * For designated positions, must obtain and maintain a Leon County Inmate Supervisory certification. Public Infrastructure Technician I: * Valid Class E State driver's license at the time of appointment. * Must obtain a commercial learner's permit (CLP) within three (3) months from the date of appointment. * Must obtain a Class A State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsement(s) within nine (9) months from the date of appointment. * Must progress to Public Infrastructure Technician II within 24 months to maintain employment.
