JD: A Japanese trading company is looking for an Office & Logistics Operations Coordinator. Location: Montvale, NJ ONSITE Salary: Base Salary $48,000 plus bonus Other: Japanese skills are preferred, but not required. General Summary This position is responsible for providing administrative support as well as performing logistics functions including freight transportation arrangement, documentation processing, inventory control, and providing customer service. Essential Job Functions 1) Performs Logistics Functions Verify incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure the accuracy of logistics documents. Handle import/export procedures, transportation arrangements, and schedule management. Prepare and manage B/L (Bill of Lading), L/C (Letter of Credit), and customs-related documents. Track shipment status and communicate promptly with related parties, including customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal staff. 2) Performs Inventory Control Functions Manage delivery and shipping schedules to maintain appropriate inventory levels. 3) Provides Customer Service Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person. Respond to inquiries, handle complaints, and adjust delivery schedules. Track shipments and provide prompt, professional support to maintain customer satisfaction. 4) Performs General Administrative Duties Handle incoming and outgoing mail, phone calls, and faxes. Organize documents, make copies, greet visitors, and perform other administrative duties as needed. Experience/Minimum Qualifications Needed 1) Language Skills Ability to effectively respond to questions from Management, Staff, clients, and the general public in English. 2) Language Skills Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to individuals and groups in English. 3) Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 4) Reasoning Skills Ability to apply knowledge and sense of understanding to carry-out detailed written or oral instructions. 5) Reasoning Skills Ability to analyze and use various documents (contracts, purchase orders, etc.). 6) Computer Skills Ability to use a computer and such applications as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and be able to design custom reports as necessary. 7) Other Skills Must be tactful, mature, flexible and able to successfully respond to multiple work pressures.
