Job SummaryThe Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and logistics operations, including shipment coordination, production reporting, inventory control, and workforce supervision. This role ensures efficient material flow, accurate system transactions, and timely communication with internal teams and external carriers, while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and accountability.Key ResponsibilitiesShipping & Logistics CoordinationPlan and coordinate all outbound shipments from the facility.Create delivery documents and communicate shipment schedules with carriers.Ensure timely scheduling of pickups and adherence to logistics timelines.Coordinate with rail operations for switches. Production & Order ManagementVerify and enter production data. Release, edit, and duplicate production orders to support production activities.Monitor production and packout status, ensuring all required processing is completed.Communicate any missed or incomplete production or packaging activities to relevant stakeholders.Inventory & Material MovementCoordinate shuttle schedules and create needed orders for material transfers to off-site locations.Perform cycle counts for packaging materials and finished goods, particularly during month-end close.Ensure accuracy of inventory records and system transactions.Workforce Supervision & SchedulingSchedule and supervise Logistics Operators and Warehouse Technicians.Maintain and update schedules in Microsoft Teams to ensure visibility and coverage.Verify staffing coverage at the start of each shift and adjust as needed.Provide direction, oversight, and support to ensure safe and efficient operations.Communication & Administrative SupportRespond promptly to urgent communications and operational issues.Serve as backup for the Logistics Specialist when needed.Provide regular updates to operations and leadership regarding workflow, delays, and priorities.Ensure accurate and timely completion of required documentation and reporting.Work Schedule & StaffingWarehouse Technicians: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMLogistics Operators: 12-hour rotating shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM / 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)Responsible for ensuring adequate coverage across all shifts.QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or GED required.Experience3-7+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or industrial operations.Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.Experience with inventory systems, production tracking, and shipping coordination.Skills & KnowledgeStrong organizational and multitasking abilities.Knowledge of shipping, logistics coordination, and inventory control processes.Experience with ERP systems and production/order management.Effective communication and team leadership skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.CompensationHourly Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour (based on experience)Overtime: Paid as required and approved by managementWork EnvironmentIndustrial warehouse and logistics setting.Requires coordination between office systems and field/warehouse operations.May require extended hours based on operational needs.Performance ExpectationsAccurate and timely shipment coordinationProduction and inventory accuracyEffective workforce scheduling and supervisionStrong communication and responsivenessOverall operational efficiency and reliabilityJob SummaryThe Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and logistics operations, including shipment coordination, production reporting, inventory control, and workforce supervision.
