The Materials & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing inventory, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving activities in support of engineering and production. This role ensures materials are available, accurate, and properly controlled to meet program and production requirements.This position works closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Production and is expected to take ownership of material flow, inventory accuracy, and warehouse operations.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory & Stockroom OperationsMaintain accurate inventory records for all parts, materials, and componentsMonitor stock levels and ensure material availability to support project and production needsLead cycle counts and physical inventory audits; investigate and resolve discrepanciesMaintain an organized, controlled stockroom environment with clear material identification and traceabilityEnsure proper handling and storage of materials, including sensitive or controlled itemsShipping & ReceivingManage all incoming and outgoing shipments, including inspection, documentation, and system transactionsVerify received materials against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies with vendorsCoordinate packaging, shipping methods, and carriers to meet delivery requirementsEnsure compliance with company procedures and applicable shipping regulationsMaterial Coordination & Procurement SupportCreate and track purchase requisitions as needed to support material demandMonitor open orders and communicate risks, delays, or shortagesWork with vendors and internal teams to resolve delivery and quality issuesEngineering & Production SupportPartner with Engineering to understand material requirements and timelinesSupport BOM tracking and ensure materials are available for builds, testing, and productionGenerate and support work orders tied to inventory and production activitiesStage materials to support production schedulesSystems & ProcessesMaintain accurate and timely transactions in ERP/MRP systemEnsure all material movements are properly documented and traceableIdentify and implement improvements to inventory control, material flow, and warehouse processesCore CompetenciesStrong attention to detailProactive communicationAbility to manage multiple prioritiesProblem-solving and process improvement mindsetQualifications4+ years of experience in inventory, warehouse, or materials managementExperience in a manufacturing or engineering-driven environmentStrong understanding of inventory control and material handling practicesExperience with ERP/MRP systemsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and support fast-paced operationsPreferred QualificationsExperience with shipping and receiving operations and logistics coordinationFamiliarity with electronic or mechanical componentsExperience supporting engineering or production teamsUnderstanding of BOMs and material planning processesAll positions at Bascom Hunter are subject to background investigations.
