Job Title: Test Fleet Maintenance Support Job Description The Test Fleet Maintenance Support role is responsible for coordinating and supporting all maintenance activities for a fleet of test trucks to ensure vehicle availability, safety, and readiness for engineering and validation activities. Responsibilities + Serve as the main point of contact between drivers, technicians, engineering teams, vendors, and fleet operations regarding maintenance needs and vehicle status. + Ensure test vehicles are maintained in a safe, compliant, and test-ready condition. + Receive, document, and prioritize driver-reported defects, ensuring accurate problem descriptions, timely diagnostics, and appropriate corrective actions. + Coordinate preventive maintenance activities in accordance with OEM guidelines, test requirements, and mileage/time-based schedules to minimize unplanned downtime. + Track and manage recalls, service campaigns, and product updates, ensuring required actions are completed, documented, and closed in a timely manner. + Schedule maintenance and repair work with internal shops and external service providers, balancing test demands with shop capacity. + Monitor repair progress, follow up on open work orders, and communicate expected completion timelines to stakeholders. + Maintain accurate maintenance records, service histories, and repair documentation for all test vehicles. + Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including proper sign-off and record retention. + Coordinate parts identification, ordering, and availability to support test fleet repairs and upgrades. + Work with suppliers and service vendors to resolve technical issues, warranty claims, and quality concerns. + Provide regular status updates and reports on vehicle health, maintenance costs, downtime, and recurring issues. + Identify trends in failures or defects and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to support root cause analysis and corrective actions. + Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet reliability, maintenance efficiency, and test readiness. Essential Skills + Experience in fleet maintenance support, service advising, or maintenance coordination, preferably in a truck or heavy-duty vehicle environment. + Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, defect management, and service workflows. + CDL (commercial driver's license) - Class A preferred. + Experience with Motive and Maintenance Connection Software preferred Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Greensboro, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
