By connecting with us, you position yourself for opportunities that align with what you're looking for.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed dimensional and visual inspections of first article parts against engineering specifications.Utilize precision measuring equipment, including CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.Generate comprehensive First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and associated documentation.Verify compliance of manufactured parts to blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T requirements.Identify and document non-conformances, deviations, and critical dimensions requiring attention.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve discrepancies and implement corrective actions.Maintain accurate records of inspection data, equipment calibration, and traceability.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Expertise in precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, optical comparators).Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Proven experience performing First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102 or equivalent industry standards.Ability to accurately document inspection results, identify non-conformances, and generate comprehensive FAI reports.Bonus QualificationsCMM programming experience (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso)ASQ certification (e.g., CQT, CQI)Proficiency with 3D CAD viewing softwareExperience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologiesJob Titles That Should ApplyFirst Article Inspector, FAI Inspector, Quality Inspector, Dimensional Inspector, Metrology Technician, Quality Control Inspector, Manufacturing Quality Inspector, Production Quality Inspector, Product Verification Inspector, Quality Assurance InspectorWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
