$120 per diem available for qualified candidates Job Description: * Ability to comprehend blueprints, sketches, weld symbols, material types, and templates. * Fabricate, align, and assemble structural parts such as plates, bulkheads, and frames. * Tack weld clips and brackets into place prior to permanent welding. * Solid understanding of shipbuilding and/or manufacturing processes * Must be able to demonstrate the ability to accurately perform layout, cutting with a torch, metric measuring, and structurally fitting processes. * Erect, set, and makeup complex-shaped shell plates, decks, bulkheads, longitudinals, and trunks. * Install and replace hull inserts and penetrations and miscellaneous complex foundations. * Pass a skills test using the SMAW process with MIL-10718-M (A-5A) filler metal of MIL-E-22200/1 in both vertical up and overhead positions. One hour of practice, one hour vertical test, and one hour overhead test. Job Requirements: * 5 years of 1st class marine shipfitting experience. * Experience performing multi-pass tack welding. * Ability to use oxygen/propane burning and heating torches. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Must be able to read blueprints. * Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces. * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on your own. * Pass a 10-Panel drug screen and background check.
