JOB DESCRIPTION This position is responsible for the safe operation of a tug boat at our sand plant location. Essential Functions * Responsible for operating a tug boat as utilized in mining environment * Perform daily inspection of vehicle and work area * Perform repairs and routine maintenance on plant and mobile equipment * Observe visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation * All other duties as assigned Competencies * Attention to Detail * Safety Acumen * Ethical Conduct * Teamwork * High Sense of Urgency * Drive for Results * Relationship Building Work Environment This job operates 100% of the time in a surface mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work.
