Lockbox Processor (Mailroom / Machine Operator) – Charlotte, NC 28217 Location: Charlotte, NC 28217 Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday Hours: Between 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (typically 8-hour shifts) Duration: Contract (Approx. 3 months) Pay Rate: Up to $19/hr Bill Rate: Up to $25.27/hr Overtime: May be required Position Summary We are seeking a Lockbox Processor / Machine Operator to support high-volume mail and payment processing operations. This role is responsible for operating extraction, scanning, and mail sorting equipment while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to strict production deadlines. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain mail sorting, extraction, and scanning equipment (e.g., OPEX Falcon, OPEX 150/IEM, OPEX MPS 40 or similar) Receive, sort, and prepare incoming mail for processing according to established procedures Monitor machine performance, identify jams/misfeeds, and troubleshoot or escalate issues as needed Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy of processed items Meet daily production and performance metrics for productivity and quality Follow all compliance, audit, and operational procedures Support general mailroom and processing functions Lift and carry mail trays (10–15 lbs as needed) Maintain a clean, organized, and collaborative work environment Required Skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Good organizational and time management skills Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures Team-oriented mindset Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 1–3 years of experience in lockbox, mailroom, or production/warehouse environment preferred Experience with OPEX equipment (Falcon, 150/IEM, MPS 40) or similar mail processing machinery preferred Additional Requirements Ability to work assigned schedule including weekends Willingness to work overtime as needed Background check and drug screening required
