ROLE SUMMARYThis is an Onsite position based at our U.S. and Americas Main Office location in Gastonia, NC. The Commodity Manager Americas - Freight is responsible for procurement activities for the Freight Commodity at MANN+HUMMEL locations throughout the U.S. and Mexico. JOB RESPONSIBILITIESCoordination and management of suppliers within the commodityDefinition of supplier panel and buying channels for commodity in coordination with functional departmentEvaluation and release of new suppliers for own commodityRFQs, frame contracts and negotiations within commodityBusiness Partner for functional department within the commodiManagement of escalation issues within the commodityInitiation and coordination of savings projects within the commodityActive analysis of supplier base within the category, indication of actions - supplier panel management,ratio projects, renegotiation, bundling, other change activities Target achievement regarding ratio activities within the categoryProject Management for all activities within the NPM categoryAnalysis and standardization of category related processes and toolsRepresent and act as the key supplier liaison for MANN+HUMMEL for the Indirect commodityConduct spend analysis; dis-assemble complex spend information into actionable insightsUnderstand and conduct supplier and market researchBuild and maintain trust and strong relationships with stakeholdersManage projects toward concrete deliverables under a wide range of timelinesAdditional responsibilities as assigned REQUIREMENTSEducation:• Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other related fieldExperience and Skills:• 3 year's minimum proven experience in Indirect Procurement with responsibility for Freight Expenditureswithin manufacturing / industrial environments• Experience developing and managing e-auctions, and creating / managing electronic catalogs for indirect items• All modes of Transportation (FTL, LTL, Ocean, Parcel, Expedite options, brokerage)• Freight audit and Pay• TMS experience• Experience dealing with customs brokerage• 3PL/4PL• Proven experience with cross-functional team collaboration• Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills• Proficiency using Microsoft Office softwarePreferred Certifications & Skills:• CPM / CPSM• Strong familiarity in use of SAP• Power BI#LI - Onsite
