Job Description

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Three years of experience in the implementation and management of construction contracts is required. Additional experience in the implementation and management of construction contracts may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis. Recruitment Notes An employee in this classification is responsible for administrative oversight, guidance, and management of the daily operations of MDAD's Miscellaneous Construction Contracts (MCC) Work Order Based Program. Employees in this class are responsible for management and monitoring of the Miscellaneous Construction Contract (MCC) 7360 and MCC Work Order Based. Reviews scope(s) of work for repairs, maintenance, or new construction projects. Initiates, tracks and updates Construction Purchase Orders. Creates, updates, and closes construction work orders. Reviews and recommend payment applications for approval. Prepare contractor evaluation, closeout documents and expenditure reports and projections of cost associated with contract allocations and provisions. Coordinates, reviews, processes, and approves all Shut-Down requests for all contractors working for MDAD that includes but is not limited to schedules and plans all shut-down and equipment functionality tests for MIA and GA airports. Reviews shutdown paperwork for sufficiency. Ensures shutdown is fully executed by pertinent parties. Verifies permits & licenses of contractors and sub-contractors. Verifies the accuracy of the shutdown information. Conducts site meetings of the affected area with the requestor(s) & MDAD tenants to verify scope of work before approval is issued. Notifies airport users of affected areas and equipment. Comply and add contracts into SharePoint as required. Supervise and perform other functions as required by the department. Airport Security Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification, and other such procedures as may be mandated by federal law. The security clearance required by federal law is a continuing condition of employment.
