This position ensures our motorcoach fleet remains safe, reliable, and customer-ready while supporting operational efficiency across the company.You will lead technicians, coordinate maintenance planning, manage vendors, and ensure compliance with DOT and company standards.Key Responsibilities Fleet & Maintenance Management Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for motorcoach fleetEnsure timely completion of inspections, repairs, and safety checksMonitor vehicle reliability, uptime, and maintenance trendsMaintain accurate fleet and maintenance recordsSupport diagnostic troubleshooting and repair planning as needed Team Leadership Supervise maintenance staff and shop personnelFoster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused shop cultureAssist in hiring, training, and performance managementSet expectations for workmanship, productivity, and safety Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and state regulationsOversee inspection readiness and audit preparationMaintain safety documentation and repair recordsPromote safe work practices across all fleet operations Operational Coordination Coordinate with operations to schedule repairs and minimize downtimeManage outside vendors and service providersTrack maintenance costs and support budgeting effortsOversee parts ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiencyImplement best practices in fleet maintenanceSupport fleet growth initiatives and expansion planningQualifications Required 5+ years of fleet maintenance or heavy vehicle maintenance experience2+ years in a leadership or supervisory roleStrong understanding of DOT/FMCSA complianceExperience managing preventive maintenance programsAbility to lead technicians and manage shop workflowStrong communication and organizational skills Preferred Experience with motorcoaches, buses, or heavy-duty diesel equipmentCDL (or willingness to obtain)Familiarity with fleet maintenance softwareASE or equivalent certificationsBudgeting or cost-management experienceWhat Makes This Role UniqueAt Adventure Tours, reliability and presentation matter.
