A brief overview of the position is provided below.Minimum Requirements:Current Police Officer Peace Officer Certification through Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (CJTC)Washington State Criminal Justice Training or Equivalent TrainingThorough understanding of content, intent, and applications of criminal lawEssential Functions:Patrols assigned areas of the City by car or on foot to aid in preventing crime and to enforce Federal, State and City laws and regulationsConducts criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing victims and witnesses, and interrogating suspectsServes and enforces civil process issued by the courts to include restraining orders, orders of protection, no contact order, anti-harassment orders, and subpoenas.
