Job Description

A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is sought to provide dedicated 1:1 behavioral support in a structured group home environment located in Oceanside, CA. This part-time contract role offers approximately 15 hours per week, focusing on working closely with an individual with high behavioral needs who benefits from consistent, skilled intervention. Responsibilities: Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with fidelity Provide consistent 1:1 ABA-based support during daily routines and community activities Collect accurate data on target behaviors and skill acquisition goals Utilize approved crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies Assist with life skills development, including hygiene, communication, social interaction, and daily living tasks Collaborate with supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and residential staff Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment Qualifications: Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required) Experience supporting individuals with high behavioral needs Strong understanding of ABA principles and behavior reduction techniques Comfortable implementing crisis prevention and intervention methods Reliable, patient, and professional demeanor Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to documentation protocols Schedule & Location: Approximately 15 hours per week with flexible scheduling options possibly available during afternoons, evenings, or weekends depending on client needs Consistent assignment working 1:1 with the same individual Located in Oceanside, California Benefits include the opportunity to build strong rapport and witness meaningful progress within a supportive, structured residential setting.
