Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.Job DescriptionJob Scope: Highly motivated Sr Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist will focus on cultivating and maintaining strong and lasting relationships with our carrier partners. This individual should be able to maintain and update dedicated volume carrier database details and assist in finding alternative carriers if existing carriers are unable to meet their performance obligations. To be a successful Sr Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist, you should be able to work with the multiple internal departments to ensure alignment, have extensive knowledge of the sourcing process from start to finish, be an advocate of the process to both carriers and internal team members. A high-performing Sr Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist should be able to develop and implement innovative ideas to enhance sourcing strategies. *Must Live in the Phoenix Area and work address:4615 East Elwood Street Suite 400Phoenix, AZKey Responsibilities: Serve as an advocate for our network of carriers.Form and maintain long lasting relationships with new as well as existing carriersLeverage relationships across Ready Logistics internal and external partners to provide support and grow partnerships with existing contracted carriersResponsible for remediating issues and addressing all escalations in a timely and effective mannerMaintaining database of carriers participating in dedicated volume eventsHost orientation calls for newly onboard dedicated volume carriersProactively look for opportunities to drive additional savings outside of pre-determined sourcing areasNegotiate rates with carriers to secure the most competitive price while maintaining alignment with established market rate baselines for the assigned laneLead conversations with carriers that are under review to have lanes/contract terminatedMaintain records for terminationPlay key role in requirements gathering and carrier capability identification in new lines of business and delivery of new products and servicesProvide weekly overview of the region's Wins, Opportunities & ThreatsAdvocate continuous improvement and provide feedback and input into processes and systems enhancements to optimize workflows and introduce efficiencyServe as the 'Go To' subject matter expert for your area of responsibility and book of businessSupport ad hoc projectsAdministration: Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse carriers and teams with diverse personalities, during high pressure scenarios, within extremely tight deadlinesWork effectively on multiple assignments, activities and projectsDevelop and maintain key processes established by the businessEnsure timely and effective problem resolutionMaintain monthly scorecard and establish consistent cadence with carrier performance reviewsSkills: Strong understanding of the auto transport industry, carrier types, truck types and capabilitiesStrong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identified issues and problems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to handle high pressure situations and tight deadlinesGood judgment, discretion, tact and the ability to work easily at all levels within the organizationAbility to partner well with colleagues in a matrixed work environment.Ability to work independently and to undertake responsibilities with minimal guidanceAdapting approach and comfortable with ambiguityPassion for and understanding of the automotive industry and ecosystemQualifications: High School Diploma / GED Required3 years direct experience with customer service and/or operations5 years automotive industry and/or logistics experienceServant team member with ability to build strong trusted relationshipsEnjoys solving problems and able to resolve conflicts through strong mediation skillsMotivated, driven, and can influence and drive teams to successDemonstrated ability to operate effectively in highly matrixed environmentsDemonstrated track record of developing and maintaining strong relationshipsIntermediate Excel SkillsWork Environment: Occasional exposure to weather conditions, and noise.Long periods of sitting or standing in an office environmentMSCOXDrug TestingTo be employed in this role, you'll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
