Description: This position involves working in the operating room. The unit has 11 operating rooms. Patient ratios are 1:1. There are secretarial and tech support available on the unit. Equipment includes Hannah tables, Jackson tables, vascular beds, cysto beds, and robot beds. The documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling includes shifts of 8, 10, and 12 hours. Call is required one night a week and every one and a half weekends every eight weeks. A full weekend consists of 48 hours, while a half weekend is 24 hours. Proficiency is needed in cystoscopy, lumbar laminectomy, total joints, robotic general procedures, robotic GYN, ENT, minimal plastic surgeries, and breast surgeries. There is a floating policy in place. Patient experience is a priority and requirements will be detailed in unit-specific policies. The unit's dress code requires a specific uniform.
