Job Description

As a key leader within operations, the Senior Logistics Analyst drives operational excellence, standardizes transportation processes, and collaborates cross-functionally to align logistics strategies with business objectives and customer expectations.Organizational Development - 20%• Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence across all transportation activities and sites.• Drive accountability, cost discipline, and ownership across logistics operations and sites.• Develop and standardize scalable transportation processes, tools, and reporting to improve visibility, performance, and cost efficiency across sites.• Partner with Procurement, Sales, Manufacturing, and Finance to align logistics strategies with business goals across the organization.Transportation & Logistics Execution - 60%• Manage day-to-day transportation activities to ensure on-time and complete delivery performance (OT&C >95%).• Optimize freight spend through mode selection, route planning, load consolidation, and network efficiency to drive measurable cost savings.• Lead carrier sourcing, negotiation, performance management, and contract compliance.• Develop, monitor, and improve transportation KPIs, including cost per shipment, on-time delivery, carrier performance, and freight damage reduction.• Proactively resolve service disruptions and implement corrective actions to maintain customer satisfaction and minimize cost impact.• Leverage data and analytics to identify trends, improve decision-making, and drive cost, service, and damage reduction improvements.Logistics Strategy & Continuous Improvement - 20%• Develop and execute transportation strategies that support business growth, scalability, and cost efficiency.• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, system enhancements, and transportation network optimization, with a focus on reducing costs, improving service, and minimizing freight damage.• Drive innovation and adoption of best practices to improve logistics performance, customer experience, and overall operational efficiency.Qualifications:• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).• 4+ years of progressive logistics or transportation experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.• Solid experience in transportation management, freight optimization, and carrier management.• Experience with ERP/MRP or TMS systems (D365 preferred; SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite a plus).• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to identify and deliver cost savings.• Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable results.• Willingness to travel up to 15%.Key Competencies:• Strategic thinking with results-driven execution• Strong communication and leadership• Data-driven decision-making and performance management• Supplier, partner, and stakeholder management• Continuous improvement and operational excellence mindset• Focus on cost savings, efficiency, and freight damage reduction#nekoosa Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
