Francis Howell School District is seeking dedicated and experienced retired educators to join our team of substitute teachers. This opportunity is exclusively available to retirees of the Francis Howell School District. Role Overview Retired substitute teachers will be responsible for delivering instruction and maintaining a positive classroom environment in the absence of the regular teacher. Substitutes are expected to fulfill all duties typically assigned to the teacher and will report to the building principal at the assigned school. Qualifications * Must hold a valid Missouri teaching certificate issued by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). * Successful completion of an FBI criminal history background check, including fingerprinting, is required. Compensation Retired certified teachers will receive a daily rate of $222. When FHSD retirees are subbing in their former non-certified position, they are paid their hourly rate at the time of retirement or the current entry-level rate for that position-whichever is higher. When subbing in a position from which they did not retire, FHSD retirees will be paid according to the following hourly rates: * Cafeteria Aide: $15.59 per hour * Custodian: $15.67 per hour * Administrative Assistant: Guidance AA, Secetary Site Office & Admin Bldg Front desk $16.23 per hour * Administrative Assistant: AA- Activites $18.12 * Adminstrative Assistant: AA- Site Admin $18.83 * Para, Personal Assistant, and Classroom Assistant: $16.85 per hour Join us in continuing to make a positive impact on our students' educational journey.
