This contract role allows you to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting women of all ages. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a culturally rich Native American community, delivering high-quality care and making a real difference during your assignment. Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility Position Highlights:Outpatient clinic and inpatient OB/GYN services: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (excluding federal holidays)On-call coverage for 24-hour periods, including holidays, as scheduledLong-term contract with potential for extensionOB/GYN Locum Tenens contract positionWork authorized under any state's active, unrestricted U.S. medical licenseLocal or travel locum candidates welcomeOpportunity to provide culturally competent care to Native American patientsKey Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including prenatal, delivery, and postpartum managementDeliver gynecologic care to adolescents and adults, including preventive, diagnostic, and surgical servicesConduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop individualized treatment plansCollaborate with nurses, mid-level providers, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient careMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR, consistent with IHS standardsCommunicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and care teamsParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, care coordination, and community health effortsRespond to emergencies and provide on-call coverage as scheduledQualifications:MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency programCurrent, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territoryActive Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) recommendedRecent clinical experience, with deliveries within the past yearAbility to provide culturally competent care to Native American communitiesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teamsAdditional Duties:Attend post-award or periodic progress meetings with government representatives as requiredMaintain quality control and compliance with contract requirements, including safeguarding government property and maintaining appropriate security clearancesEnsure continuity of care and timely communication with the Clinical Director or designeeOther duties as directed by your supervisorIndian Preference Exercised:Prairie Band, LLC is subject to Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
