Special. - Moderate/IntensiveDate Posted: 12/11/2025Location: Solon High SchoolSOLON CITY SCHOOLS POSITION DESCRIPTION: POSITION: Teacher - Interventionist - Grades 9-12 QUALIFICATIONS: A valid Ohio teacher's license validated for special education A Bachelor's Degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university RESPONSIBLE TO: Principal SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: General education teaching experience with implementing district initiatives with fidelity. Have deep content (language arts and/or math) and pedagogical knowledge. Demonstrate with general education students the ability to determine the essential understanding of grade level/course concepts and can teach these concepts concretely using a variety of methods and in different settings. Can task analyze the most complex and difficult components of a particular grade level/course concept and can provide aligned instruction to close learning gaps. Demonstrate ability to implement the district Pyramid process with fidelity. Facile with real-time formative assessment of students and alignment of instruction. High level of collaborative skills to ensure alignment of instruction. Experience implementing strategies for behavioral modifications. This position is for students needing intensive subject knowledge instruction and the teacher will need to work towards intervention licensure to remain in the position.
