Childcare Center Program Assistant JobID: 7293 Position Type: Childcare Center/Childcare Center Program Assistant Date Posted: 1/13/2026 Location: BRIGHT BEGINNINGS Date Available: 01/20/2026 Closing Date: Until Filled Additional Information: Show/Hide POSITION TITLE: Child Care Center - Program Assistant POSITION TYPE: SUPPORT FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT DEPARTMENT: CHILDCARE CENTER REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR - CHILDCARE CENTER WORK CALENDAR: DCL5 SALARY RANGE: $12.50-$14.00 AN HOUR CONTRACT DAYS: 185 (plus 2 discretionary days) STIPEND: N/A FULL TIME / PART TIME: FULL-TIME STANDARD WORK HOURS: 8 HOURS PAY FREQUENCY: SEMI-MONTHLY LAST UPDATED: 10-2024 JOB SUMMARY Job Goal: To provide program assistance and assist the Child Care Center director in managing the day-to-day operations of the EPS Child Care Center (CCC). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Greet families and visitors as well as provide assistance or information concerning policies, procedures and other details. * Facilitates student enrollment into the program and communication to the parents.. * Processes and keeps records of child care attendance. * Responsible for responding to telephone calls in a pleasant and efficient manner, as well as taking messages and routing calls to the appropriate individuals. * Assists the director in collecting necessary data and preparing appropriate reports. * Facilitates the management of the CCC office on a daily basis. * Assists with monitoring the CCC budget. Responsible for keeping accurate financial records, to include accounts payable and receivable records. * Responsible for preparing purchase orders for site purchases. * Responsible for submitting work orders. * Prepares and manages grocery orders for necessary food supplies. * Responsible for meal pick-up and preparation. * Provides break coverage for CCC employees. * Responsible for basic first aid, if necessary. * Keeps accurate records of child accidents as required by the Director. * Other duties as may be assigned. Length of Contract One hundred eighty six (186) contract days, plus two summer discretionary days. EVALUATION The performance of this job will be evaluated by the Director of the Childcare Center in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policies, collective bargaining agreement, and state law. QUALIFICATIONS Required: * Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) * Previous Experience: Experience in child care programs preferred * Ability to work cooperatively with others, demonstrate self-discipline and initiative, and follow state and district guidelines. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS * DHS certification, as required.
