Job Description

We are currently looking for a Full Time Program Therapist to join our Violence Prevention and Residential Recovery Team B team located at the Healthy Lifestyles working Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Summary:Provides therapeutic services to families, couples and individuals.Responsibilities:* Provides family, couple, individual and group therapies as needed* Implements empirically validated measurements into therapeutic practice to assess for client progress in therapy and to measure overall therapeutic effectiveness with clients* Collaborates with other professionals to ensure for appropriate care of clients* Leads family education classes, such as relationship enhancement training* Assists in ongoing initiatives to build and maintain referrals for services* Utilizes an electronic health record keeping system to complete progress notes, treatment plans and other therapy-related materials to document appropriate legal and ethical standards of therapeutic services are upheld* Interfaces with other Department of Family Services programs and other non-tribal entities to effectively deliver services to clients* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner- Greets and engages with a smile- Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types- Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment- Maintains and promotes professionalism- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards* Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.* Performs all other duties as assignedCompetencies:Essential:* Able to follow instructions, both written and oral * Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements* Ability to work independently* Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability* Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines* Knowledge of relevant privacy regulations such as The Privacy Act, Freedom of Information Act and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)* Must have a helping attitude and understanding of problems within a family-oriented framework* Knowledge and understanding of First American populations* Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management* Writes effective communications with team, departments, guests and management* Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment or situation* Ability to recognize, interpret, and regulate your own emotions, and understand those of other people* Ability to use a trauma-informed approach with individuals, which promotes environments of healing and recovery* Demonstrates and prioritizes personal well-being and utilize available resources as needed to support others effectively* Must have empathetic understanding of common social problems (i.e., addictions, mental health problems, domestic violence, sexual assault, etc.)* Ability to remain calm under stressSkills:Essential:* Basic Computer skills* Demonstrates strong self-management skills, including maintaining a healthy work life balance to ensure quality customer serviceExperience:Nonessential:* 2 years directly related experienceEducation:Essential:* Masters Degree in directly related fieldEssential:* Master's degree in marriage and family therapy preferred, or Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or related fieldCredentials:Essential:* Pass general background check* Standard Driver's License* Please see the below commentsNonessential:* Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor* Licensed Clinical Social Worker* Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist* Licensed Professional CounselorEssential:* Must possess a current license without restrictions or be eligible for licensure from the State of Oklahoma Board of Behavioral Health Licensure as a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with Mental Health Designation (LADC/MH), or the Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Workers as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
