Southcentral Foundation (SCF) sponsors learning opportunities for students seeking degree completion in the Nursing Field. The learners will engage in a variety of learning activities under the mentorship of a SCF preceptor to gain valuable nonclinical and clinical experience within the Nuka System of Care. The student is responsible for maintaining contact with the assigned preceptor and partner with preceptor as needed to seek out opportunities to meet objectives from various school courses. While attending clinical rotations at SCF, under the supervision of a preceptor, the student will assist in delivering care that fully supports the optimization of customer ownership of health-related issues and therapeutic, enduring relationships between providers and customer-owners.Hours: Dependent on preceptor hoursEligibility:SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF's geographical service area. Students should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population.
