Effective Date: 25-26 School Year Supervision: Building Principal Summary: The Lunchroom/Playground Aide is responsible for ensuring the safety and supervision of students in both the lunchroom and playground areas. Terms of Employment: 10:00-1:40 Monday through Friday, student days only and may be adjusted as agreed to between Principal and Employee. Possibly of additional hours. Work Environment:Work is performed at the Flint Cultural Center Academy and may include other areas of the school.There is limited exposure to physical risk.Essential Duties (May include, but not limited to):Transport students to and from cafeteria and playground.Provide and model directions for students on proper cafeteria manners.Ensure cafeteria and playground are safe environments.Administer lower level first aide to students.Be able to handle student disputes and concerns.Plan and implement daily age appropriate activities on playground or inside recess.Work in cooperation with the principal.Follow all program and district rules, policies and procedures.Maintain professional attitude and loyalty to the school.Treat each individual with respect and dignity.Complete other duties as assigned by the principal.Qualifications:Previous work with school age students preferred.Must be able to relate well to elementary students, school personnel and the general public.Compensation: $12.48 per hour based upon qualifications and experienceThe Flint Cultural Center Academy complies with all Federal laws and regulations prohibiting discrimination and with all requirements and regulations of the U.S. Department of Education.
