Located in the scenic Mount Lemmon, AZ area, this per diem pharmacist opportunity supports a growing team serving multiple retail pharmacies in the Tucson region. This role is ideal for experienced pharmacists seeking flexible, part-time work to support coverage needs like call outs, vacations, and volume spikes. You will join a dedicated per diem team of 2-3 pharmacists providing expert retail pharmacy services in busy locations with an average daily prescription volume of 100-125. Many sites benefit from strong technician support, while smaller locations operate as pharmacist-only, emphasizing the importance of thorough training. Schedule & Hours: Mon - Sat, typically 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. (some sites may close at 8 p.m.) Flexible shifts based on coverage needs, averaging 2-4 days per week Key Responsibilities: Deliver retail pharmacy services in a fast-paced environment Administer immunizations and maintain BLS certification during shifts Utilize QS1 pharmacy software for prescription processing and record-keeping Participate in comprehensive training, including a dedicated 8-hour shift with additional training as needed Qualifications: At least 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience; 5+ years preferred for advanced consideration Current AZ pharmacist license with no restrictions Immunization privileges and valid BLS card required Familiarity with QS1 software is a plus Benefits & Perks: Mileage reimbursement for commutes over 30 miles ($0.50/mile) Meal stipend of $50 per shift worked Travel accommodations provided if travel exceeds 75 miles, including meals and hotel Non-billable training hours to fully prepare you for success If you are ready to provide valued pharmacy care in a supportive, food and pharmacy retail environment, submit your updated resume, skills checklist, and AZ license.
