We are looking for a Director of Metrology to join our growing team.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThis position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.The Director of Metrology is responsible for enterprise level oversight of metrology technologies and continuous improvement, as well as providing high level technical guidance for programs company wide.The following essential job functions are performed as the Director of Metrology:Develop, improve, and maintain standards for metrology best practices and trainingManage development and/or revision of process documentationManage 2-3 direct reports within the Metrology Lab groupProvides feedback on designs and drawings for manufacturability, measurement, and specification complianceIdentifies opportunities for process improvement in both manufacturing, inspection, and design standardsChampions quality standardsCommunicates changes to best practicesCustomer interactionsIdentifies areas of improvement for the metrology team and manage initiatives to completionProactive about seeking and exploring new technologiesChallenges convention to foster innovative thinkingReviews and ensures internal standards and customer requirements are being followedShall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisorsMust be at work on time and maintain good attendance. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation programEDUCATION/EXPERIENCETechnical degree requiredAll positions required at least a high school diploma/GED.Minimum 5 years of metrology related work experienceAbility to read and understand blue-prints and / or CAD modelsMust have effective verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated leadership capabilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office software is requiredProficiency with Spatial Analyzer is preferred; other inspection software suites may be helpfulComputer coding skills are desirableIn-depth knowledge of GD&TMust be willing and able to obtain a government issued security clearanceADDITIONAL INFORMATIONSalary range for this role is between $130,000-185,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off shifts. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role.
