The Registered Pharmacist will provide pharmaceutical services in a busy ambulatory care and outpatient pharmacy setting. This role involves using electronic health records (EHR) and pharmacy automation to process, verify, and dispense medications while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical care.$100,000 - $110,000 a yearLocation: Belcourt, ND (Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility) Schedule: Typical work week is 40 hours, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Shifts are normally 8 or 10 hours with a 30-minute lunch.Key Responsibilities• Prescription Processing: Enter, review, and process prescription orders in the IHS Electronic Health Record (EHR), checking for completeness, proper dosing, and potential allergies.• Clinical Review: Assess renal function (calculating CrCl) and monitor patient profiles for drug-drug interactions, food interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic duplications.• Dispensing & Accuracy: Verify the accuracy of all pharmaceutical products prepared by technical staff and ensure all prescribed medications are on the facility's formulary.• Patient Counseling: Provide comprehensive instructions to patients regarding the safe and effective use of their medications.• Consultation: Answer medical questions from prescribing practitioners regarding medication substitutions and patient care.• Controlled Substances: Maintain strict security and accurate records for all scheduled controlled substances in accordance with regulations and local policy.• Clinical Support: Provide medication-related information and training to clinical staff regarding new therapies and appropriate medication use.• Inventory & Safety: Assist with inventory control and maintain a clean, safe work environment according to infection control and safety standards.Qualifications & Requirements• Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree (PharmD) from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).• Licensure: A current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice Pharmacy in any U.S. State, District, or Territory.• Certification: BLS• Experience: Working knowledge of pharmacy systems such as IHS EHR, RPMS, ScriptPro Central Workflow, and Pyxis is highly preferred.
