Full-time Pediatric Hospitalist opportunity for a newly-developed pediatric hospital medicine service in a community hospital setting in southeast Idaho where great adventure begins!Job Description:Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a regional medical center which draws patients from eastern Idaho, western Wyoming, and southern Montana. 318-bed hospitalLevel II Trauma centerRegional Burn Center6-Bed Pediatric ICU10-bed Pediatric unit26-bed Level III Neonatal ICU1200 deliveries per yearCaring for medical patients on the Pediatric UnitConsulting on pediatric patients in the emergency departmentConsulting on surgical patientsCaring for newborn infants who do not require NICU-level carePediatric physician staff include both Pediatric Intensivists and Neonatologists as part of the team in addition to Pediatric sub-specialists representing Pediatric Neurology, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Surgery, and Anesthesia. The hospital staff includes a Child Life Specialist, Pediatric Nutritionists, and Physical Therapists. The staff are very in-tuned with delivering care within a family-center environment.EIRMC has an active family medicine residency going into its third year of existence, with residents rotating through the inpatient pediatric and newborn care services. There is an opportunity for faculty appointment with the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine, if desired. There are growth opportunities for the Pediatric Hospitalist within the areas of quality and process improvement projects, and clinical research of a unique patient population.
