Position Type: Student Support Staff/ParaprofessionalDate Posted: 2/2/2026Location: PRA K-8 BuildingProspect Ridge AcademyCreating Academic, Social, and Ethical LeadersTHIS POSITION WORKS 10 MONTHS ANNUALLY (183 DAYS).Middle School Math Interventionist Job DescriptionProspect Ridge Academy is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Middle School Math Interventionist to provide targeted instructional support to students in grades 6 - 8 who require additional assistance in mathematics. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on student achievement by delivering high-quality Tier II interventions that strengthen foundational skills, close learning gaps, and build confidence in math.The Math Interventionist works closely with classroom teachers, students, families, and the MTSS team to design and implement effective intervention plans aligned with Prospect Ridge Academy's academic standards, mission, and commitment to developing Academic, Social, and Ethical Leaders.The goal of this position is to accelerate student learning, promote mathematical resilience, and ensure all students have the support they need to succeed.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct small-group and one-on-one math intervention sessions for middle school students identified through MTSS.Plan, implement, and monitor Tier II instruction that supports grade-level standards.Deliver engaging, clear, and effective lessons that promote mathematical reasoning and problem-solving.Assess and track student progress regularly using data and adjust instruction as needed.Collaborate with math teachers to align intervention support with core classroom instruction.Participate in MTSS team meetings to review student progress and recommend instructional adjustments.Communicate consistently and effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and support strategies.Provide students with strategies to develop independence, confidence, and resilience in mathematics.Maintain organized student records, progress monitoring data, and intervention plans in compliance with MTSS processes.Support the academic, social, and ethical development of students in alignment with PRA's mission and values.Actively pursue professional development in math instruction, adolescent learning, and intervention strategies.Follow policies established by the Prospect Ridge Academy Board of Directors, Adams 12 School District, and Colorado State guidelines (except where PRA has waivers).Perform additional duties as assigned.Education and Related Work ExperienceBachelor's degree in Education or related field strongly preferred.Current Colorado Teaching License preferred.Experience teaching or providing intervention in middle school math is strongly preferred.Demonstrated ability to work with students of varied learning styles and levels of mastery.Strong written and oral communication skills.Commitment to the implementation of Character Education and Positive Behavior Systems.Skills and AbilitiesAbility to plan and deliver math instruction at multiple levels (remediation and grade-level).Strong knowledge of middle school math content and intervention strategies.Ability to collect, analyze, and act on student performance data.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple groups and tasks.Effective problem-solving skills and sound judgment in dynamic situations.Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.Self-motivated and able to work independently while also collaborating as part of a team.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsMust occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands/vision for instructional purposes.Work is primarily indoors, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.May require extended hours during certain times of the year.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.Reporting RelationshipThis position reports to the K8 Math Content Specialist.Direct Reports: None.Compensation & BenefitsProspect Ridge Academy offers a comprehensive total compensation package for employees working 0.75 FTE or greater, including:Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Multiple plan options designed to support you and your family's health and wellness.Flexible Spending Accounts: Options for health care and dependent care expenses.Life & Disability Coverage: Employer-paid life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance.Retirement: Participation in the Colorado PERA retirement plan with both employee and employer contributions.Paid Time Off: Paid Annual Leave (PAL) beginning on your first day of work, plus 11 - 15 paid holidays per year (depending on contract length).Mental Health & Well-being: Access to confidential resources and support for mental and emotional wellness.Employees working less than 0.75 FTE are eligible for PERA retirement contributions and paid holidays.SalaryHiring Range: $20.42 - $22.97
