Job Description

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled nuclear medicine technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. The technologist will prepare and administer radioactive pharmaceuticals, operate radiation detection and imaging equipment, perform a variety of nuclear medicine studies, and document patient care in the electronic medical record. Minimum RequirementsAn associate or bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology.State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine in CA. CA NMT license required.BLS certification.Minimum 2 years' experience as a nuclear medicine technologist.Experience with RadNet and Merge Unity or similar PACS/EMR systems preferred.Experience performing cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying preferred.Experience operating GE gamma camera equipment preferred.Ability to work with one scanner/room and manage an average volume of 5-10 studies per day. Assignment DetailsFacility type: Hospital.Shift: Days.Shift hours: 08:00-16:00 (Days 08:00-16:00 listed).Orientation hours: 12 hours.On-call/Call requirements: Weekday call after 16:30 on a rotating schedule; rotating weekends; rotating holidays.Scheduling model: 8-hour day shifts; no block scheduling.Clinical charting system: Cerner. PACS: RadNet and Merge Unity.Department equipment: GE gamma camera.Department size: 1 scanner/room.Average studies per day: 5-10.Float requirement: May be required to float to another nearby facility approximately 6.5 miles away.
