Interested in a career that matters?Technical Services Scientist - Household CareThe role & your impact:Join our Planetary Health Biosolutions team and play a key role in advancing sustainable, high-performance detergent technologies. You'll partner closely with major household-care customers, global R&D, formulation centers, and commercial teams to drive innovative detergent optimization projects. Your expertise in detergent formulations-especially liquids and unit dose-will directly influence customer success and Novonesis' technical service capabilities.Key responsibilities include:Lead scientific and technical interactions with major household-care customersDevelop and apply ingredient, formulation, and process understanding for detergentsDeliver innovative technical solutions that build customer value and loyaltyWork with enzymes in liquid/solid detergent formulationsAnalyze data using advanced statistical tools; generate technical reportsCollaborate with global R&D, Formulation, Marketing, and Sales teamsApply agile ways of working; product owner experience is a plusLead technical projects and mentor junior colleaguesWhat you'll need to be successful:BS + 5 yrs / MS + 3 yrs / PhD + 0 yrs in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering (or similar)Industry experience in household/home-care detergentsUnderstanding technical challenges in detergent formulation and optimizationStrong experimental, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to travel up to 30% (US + occasional international)Additional skills & interests we value:Experience with enzyme-based formulationsBackground in solids detergentsAgile methodology or product-owner experienceWays of Working:This position is onsite in Franklinton, NC.Work spans laboratory, pilot-plant, and production environments.Occasional domestic and international travel required.Physical activity is part of the role, including climbing, equipment access, and movement across production areas.Compensation & Benefits:Expected salary range: $95,000-$110,000Benefits you will enjoy:401(k) with up to a 9% company contributionMinimum of 3 weeks of vacation, 12 holidays, and 2 weeks of Wellness TimeHealth, Dental, Vision & Life insuranceHealthcare Savings Account (HSA) optionEmployee Assistance ProgramParental leaveTuition reimbursementAll benefits begin on your first day!Relevant Information:Application deadline: April 21, 2026Our purpose guides the way In Novonesis, we know that solutions rooted in biology can help solve humanity's biggest challenges.
