From routine eye exams and optical retail, to medical optometry, ophthalmology, and surgical procedures, our patients experience end-to-end personalized care and service.We are looking for an energetic and highly customer focused Eye Care Professional to join our team!RequirementsThe Eye Care Professional is responsible for interacting with customers on a daily basis to uncover needs for the patient's lifestyle and recommend specialized products based on those needs as well as assist patients in frame selection this includes taking measurements, fit, and adjust glasses, troubleshoot patient's vision complaints, and teach customers how to properly wear and care for their eyeglasses and contact lenses.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Obtain patient's prescription from ophthalmologist or optometristGather patient's information including vision and medical insurance informationSchedule, confirm and maintain appointmentsRecommend frames, lenses and products that are suitable for the patient's style, face and specificationsAdjust and fit frames according to the prescription and patient's specifications, as well as to the patient's face.Prepare and submit the order to the proper lab for manufacturingBe able to use equipment such as lensometer, auto refractor, pupilometer, calipers and hand toolsAssist with frame inventory, contact lens inventory, marketing materials and office suppliesTeaching patients how to wear and care for both contact lenses and eyeglassesRepairing or replacing broken framesAdministrative duties such as filing, following up on orders, following up with patients, answering phones, assisting the doctor with special orders and referralsMulti-tasking to help patients in a timely mannerPosition/Type/ Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position and core hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Potential for evening and weekend hours as required.Travel:The role may require travel to other locations in Pinellas County area to support business needs.Qualifications:Minimum 2 years' experience in Retail SalesAbility to demonstrate strong customer service skills.Optical experience PREFERRED.Skills and Abilities:Customer service orientedExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsProblem solving skills requiredManaging multiple patientsAssisting patient in selections of proper eyewearTeaching patientsComputer proficientAble to perform necessary math skillsBenefits401k and matchMonthly BonusEmployee Recognition EventsSalary Description $16 - $19 + bonus (commensurate with experience)
