Type: Part-Time (45 Hours Bi-weekly) Hours: Varies Shift: Varies Pay: $52.87 - $69.91 / Hour depending upon years of experience Job Summary: The Technologist will process the day-to-day activities and workflow on a given shift within the lab. This will include ensuring SOPs, practices, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations are followed. Responsibilities: * Triaging and performing product testing * Ensuring optimal product inventory levels * Overseeing quality control on automated testing instruments * Identifying and implementing process improvements Requirements: * Valid NYS License for Clinical Laboratory Technologist * Knowledgeable in both NYSDOH and Joint Commission Regulatory requirements for Blood Bank * Minimum of 5 years experience in Transfusion Medicine * Knowledge of a computerized laboratory information system * Ability to interpret lab results and prepare slides for study * Effective communication skills * Bachelor's Degree required
