The Orthopaedic Concierge Joint Replacement Coordinator is an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) who serves as the primary clinical liaison and care navigator for patients enrolled in the Concierge Joint Replacement Program. This role blends advanced clinical expertise with high-touch patient coordination, ensuring a seamless, personalized experience throughout the entire joint replacement journey-from initial consultation through postoperative recovery. The PA works closely with the orthopaedic surgeon, operating room staff, anesthesia team, physical therapy, and administrative personnel to deliver exceptional clinical outcomes and a premium patient experience.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Clinical Care & Surgical SupportPerform comprehensive preoperative evaluations and medical optimization assessmentsOrder and interpret appropriate labs, imaging, and diagnostic studiesManage routine postoperative concerns, including pain management and wound careCoordinate timely intervention for complications or unexpected clinical issuesConcierge Care CoordinationServe as the primary point of contact for concierge patients and familiesDevelop individualized surgical care plansCoordinate all preoperative testing, clearances, and schedulingOversee prehabilitation and postoperative physical therapy arrangementsEnsure streamlined communication between surgeon, ASC/hospital, and ancillary servicesFacilitate rapid access for urgent patient concernsPatient Education & ExperienceProvide detailed education regarding diagnosis, surgical options, implant technology, and recovery expectationsConduct preoperative educational sessions (in-person or virtual)Provide direct availability (within defined program standards) for enhanced patient reassuranceMaintain high patient satisfaction through proactive communicationProgram Development & Quality OversightAssist in development and refinement of concierge program protocolsTrack clinical outcomes and patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs)Participate in quality improvement initiativesCollaborate in program marketing efforts when appropriateSupport development of tiered service offerings and a la carte optionsAdministrative & Operational DutieMaintain accurate and timely documentation in EMRCoordinate billing compliance within concierge model guidelinesParticipate in multidisciplinary case conferencesAssist with ASC case coordination and same-day discharge plannin Education and/or ExperienceGraduate of an accredited Physician Assistant programCurrent PA licensure in the state of practice3-5 years of orthopaedic experience preferredExperience in total joint arthroplasty strongly preferredStrong clinical decision-making skillsExceptional interpersonal and communication abilitiesHigh level of organization and attention to detailCommitment to service excellenceWhat's in it for you?
