We are hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist who supports regulatory compliance and employee well-being through hands-on inspections, program administration, training, and first aid response.Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.BenefitsFully funded pension planProfit-sharing planComprehensive medical, dental, vision, and additional voluntary benefitsPaid time offBonus opportunitiesStable, long-term career with growth potentialPaid holidaysNo lay-off policyKey ResponsibilitiesConduct environmental compliance activities including SWPPP inspections, hazardous waste tracking, SDS management, and preparation of required regulatory reportsPerform industrial hygiene and exposure monitoring activities and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with permissible exposure limitsServe as first responder for workplace injuries, manage first aid supplies, and coordinate first aid training and documentationAdminister and maintain Respiratory Protection and Hearing Conservation programs, including fit testing, medical clearances, training coordination, and compliance trackingPerform monthly 6X safety observations, document findings, and support corrective action follow-upMaintain accurate safety and environmental records to support OSHA, EPA, and state regulatory complianceProvide consistent field presence and support to reinforce safety awareness, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across facilitiesAll employees are responsible for the technical aspects of their position while demonstrating the company's core values of People First, Respect and Integrity, Innovation, Dependability, and Enjoyment.RequirementsRequirements Associate or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety, or related field preferred1-3 years of experience in a safety or environmental support roleWorking knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulatory requirements preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work comfortably in active industrial and field environmentsAbility and willingness to travel regularly between company facilities
