American Traveler is hiring an IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology) with 2+ years of experience in cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures for an acute care hospital setting.Job Details• Acute care hospital setting within a Cardiac Services / Interventional Radiology unit with 4-6 procedure rooms,• Performs diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures under physician supervision,• Procedures include cardiac catheterizations, vascular and interventional radiology procedures with scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties,• Provides pre-, intra-, and post-procedural patient care and assessment,• Charting performed in Epic (experience required),• Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM,• On-call required as needed; some weekends may be required based on staffing needs at time of service start,• This is a newly launched service line at the facility,Job Requirements• Minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology,• Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology,• ARRT, RCIS (or exam-eligible at time of hire), or CVT with 4+ years of cath lab experience required,• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,• Demonstrated clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology and 12-lead EKG interpretation,• Proficiency with physiologic monitoring including intra-cardiac pressure waveform knowledge, pacemaker operations (implantable and external), and related radiographic equipment,• Epic EMR experience required,• License required if applicable,Additional Information• Preferred candidates have 4+ years of combined cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology experience,• ARRT Advanced Level Certification in Cardiac Interventional Radiography and RCIS designation are preferred,• Orientation includes a service partner orientation on day one, followed by department and service-specific training,• Scrubs required,• Local candidates are accepted for this position
