Statesville is located on the north end of the highly sought after Lake Norman area.The Audiologist is responsible for administering diagnostic audiological tests that allow the differentiation between types of hearing disorders for pediatric and adult patientsThe Audiologist will provide hearing aid testing, selection and fitting to all populationsThe Audiologist will counsel patients regarding test results and reviews options which best meet their hearing care needsInterpret the results of hearing evaluation data within the context of the patient's perceptual, social and communicative needsReviews pricing and sale hearing aids as a part of the patient education processProvides amplification services including hearing aid assessment testingCoordinates care with physician and other providersMakes recommendation(s) regarding hearing care optionsProvides hearing aid dispensing, including selection, fitting, ear-mold acoustics, ongoing, ongoing management with follow-up and educationDevelop a rational treatment and monitoring plan with the patient and/or caregivers, including the use of amplification, assistive listening devises, aural rehabilitation, and counseling as indicated.Location: Iredell Ear Nose and Throat, 740 Bryant Street, Statesville, NCRequirementsMasters or AuD Degree in AudiologyCurrent NC License or the ability to obtain a NC licenseExcellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a divers customer, colleague, and vendor populationStrong audiology diagnostic and hearing aid software, and equipment experienceMust be able to organize time and prioritize numerous dutiesRequires the ability to handle numerous interruptionsMust provide customers care in a kind, professional and ethical mannerMust be detail orientedUnderstands the otologic and neurological diagnostic processes enough to obtain audiological information that will be used to help the physician distinguish between competing etiological entities in a given patientPossesses a strong clinical interest and maintain versatility, creativity and adaptabilityWe are part of Iredell Health System, a prominent healthcare organization nestled 35 miles north of Charlotte, North Carolina, with white sandy beaches only four hours to the east and gorgeous mountains with fantastic skiing in the winter just one hour west.Our system is anchored by a 247-bed hospital, Iredell Memorial, situated in Statesville, NC.
