The Clarksburg VA Medical Center, also known as the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center (LAJVAMC), is dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of Veterans in Clarksburg, West Virginia, and the surrounding area. Services include primary care, specialty care, mental health services, telehealth, and extended care and rehabilitation. This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until August 14, 2026. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be February 17, 2026, with subsequent cut-off dates on the 1st of each month. Eligible applications received after that date will be referred at regular intervals or as additional vacancies occur on an as-needed basis until positions are filled. Major Duties/Responsibilities * Perform general cardiology clinical care, including in-patient consultation, out-patient consultation and out-patient clinic. * Perform echocardiography, exercise and pharmacologic stress testing, Holter monitor an electrocardiogram interpretation, diagnosis and management of arrhythmias. * Takes an active role in the evaluation of the patient, decision for treatment/care, and documentation in the patient electronic records. * Serves on service level and/or hospital committees as needed and participate in the facility peer review program. * Maintains professional competency, courtesy and flexibility or provide the necessary services of this specialty. * Possess strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills with a commitment to academics. * Maintains a record of successful practice management and excellent clinical skills. * All other duties assigned based on the needs of the Medical Facility. Work Schedule: 8am-4:30pm; however, subject to change, depending on the needs of the service/medical center. Contract Buy Out Program: This position may be eligible for the Physician / Provider Contract Buy Out Program (CBOP), which authorizes VHA to buy out service contracts (Locum agreements, loan repayments, sign-on bonus contracts, Physician-owned practices) in exchange for employment at certain rural or highly rural facilities for a period of obligated service (minimum 4 years).
