How you'll contribute A Director of Clinical Risk Management who excels in this role: * Provides strategic leadership to identify, assess, and mitigate clinical and organizational risks, driving initiatives that improve patient safety and protect the organization. * Serves as a subject matter expert for hospital leadership, practice managers, Health Support Center (HSC) representatives, insurers, attorneys, and other stakeholders on all aspects of clinical risk management. * Develops, implements, and monitors risk management goals, policies, and procedures, providing guidance to reduce risk and prevent patient harm. * Educates leaders and stakeholders on risk management essentials, emerging trends, and proactive strategies to mitigate loss. * Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, including The Joint Commission (TJC), Department of Health (DOH), and CMS requirements. * Participates in HSC committees, workgroups, and councils to create resources and tools that support risk management across LifePoint affiliates. * Analyzes incidents, trends, and risk data to inform leadership decisions, recommend preventive actions, and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management initiatives. What we're looking for * Proven experience in Quality or Risk Management within a healthcare setting.. * Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; relevant advanced degrees a plus. * Minimum of 3 years of experience in Risk Management or Quality in an acute care setting preferred. * Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification preferred. * Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory and accreditation standards, including TJC, CMS, and Department of Health requirements. * Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies to mitigate clinical and organizational risks. * Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels across hospital and corporate settings. * Proven track record of developing and implementing risk management policies, programs, and initiatives that improve patient safety and organizational outcomes.
